  1. Approval of minutes from last meeting

SG & MG. Minutes approved as presented.

 

  1. Elections of officers

    1. Chairperson – DB as nominated by MG & SG

    2. Treasurer – MG as nominated by DB & SG

    3. Secretary – LR as nominated by MG & DB

  2. Matters Arising

Payment for defibrillator – DB suggested collection bucket for donations at next village event.

 

  1. Financial Update (MG)

Incomings – Café and Pilates are regular stream of income.

Outgoings – Window glass replaced that was shattered.

 

  1. Heating

DB -  Ferrier’s Barn have had the infrared system fitted so DB to monitor how this works for them and report back.

MG – Quotes to be obtained for better version of what we have now – some queries raised regarding whether we would require additional outside equipment to be installed and also concern about sound transmitting through to neighbouring house.

ACTION – SG to contact Lamarsh Village Hall re wall mounted electric heaters as an option.

DB – Note that we may qualify for funding/grants.

 

  1. Path Works / Building & Maintenance

EF – awaiting information on statutes and legal constraints. Will update at next meeting.

MG – sheds have been fixed and painted.

MG - Gardening still outstanding as a regular commitment. ACTION – DB to contact Andrew Hogjberg (sp?)

MG – Simon Wells is providing a quote to complete the window works

 

  1. Booking query (DB)

DB – booking enquiry regarding a bouncy castle, views of committee required:

Response from committee members :

= floor needs to be protected

= needs to be a castle for indoor use specifically

= proof of insurance needs to be provided

 

DB – Harvest Supper booking needs a capacity limit. LR – capacity limits are currently down to our fire risk assessment and no longer Covid-19 dependent.

 

  1. Future Plans (DB)

Many future plans are now in the pipeline as follows :

= Fete 2022

= Jubilee 2022

= Pumpkin Patch 30th October 2021 (LR and Sarah Wells)

= Winter Warmer Supper November 13th 2021 (LR, SG, LP and others)

 

Discussions were had regarding the plans for the following :

Fete 2022

MG to lead. ACTION - MG to find out dates of other local events before setting the date. DB to confirm available dates.

Jubilee 2022

DB to lead.

General consent to having an event on Saturday 4th June at lunchtime to include a hog roast, salads and sides and a non-profit bar.

ACTION – SG to paint AVH on the bin

ACTION – EF to contact Insurance company for quotes.
